Shiitake mushrooms are an antioxidant-rich skincare ingredient from the fungal kingdom that can brighten, soothe, protect, renew, and smooth skin.

Shiitake's brightening capabilities can help with dull skin, even skin tone, and reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation. Since it's antioxidant-rich, shiitake also helps protect from the free radical damage that ages your skin.

Shiitake promotes cell turnover and can stimulate collagen production, which improves skin firmness and the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Shiitake is antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory due to it containing ergosterol and beta-glucans, and helps support the skin barrier due to it's high levels of vitamin B, specifically vitamin B3 (niacinamide).
