Simplify your Skincare Routine with Skin Smoothies

Create Skin Smoothies by combining your favourite Graydon products. My team shares their favourite Skin Smoothie recipes to inspire your own creations!

I love smoothies! It’s no secret. In fact, way back in the day, one of my favourite smoothie recipes was the inspiration for Skin Stuff Face + Eye Cream

I love smoothies so much that I create Skin Smoothies when applying my skincare products.

So what does that mean?

Well, it means that instead of layering my skincare products, I like to mix them all together before applying. Not only does it reduce the number of steps in my routine, combining the products helps them all work together. It’s true! Water-based products maximize absorption of oil-based products and oil-based products help seal in the moisture from water-based products. Now that’s some team work!

We’ve shared some tried and true Skin Smoothie recipes on our website, but these aren’t the only combinations. You can mix whichever Graydon Skincare products work best for you. As inspiration, my team and I want to share our favourite Skin Smoothie combinations with you.

Staff favourite Skin Smoothies

I have sensitive, dry and (you could say) mature skin. I always start my regimen with a thorough cleanse using Aloe Milk on our Bamboo Charcoal Sponge to prep my face for success in terms of being able to absorb moisture. In the morning, my Skin Smoothie consists of:

3 drops of Fullmoon Serum + 3 drops of Moon Boost Serum + 1–2 pumps of Face Glow.

Depending on how my skin is feeling that day, I’ll follow up with a generous spritz of Face Food. I do the same routine in the evening; however, I substitute Face Glow with Putty.

Ange (Sales Strategy + Brand Expert)

I’m currently doing:

4 drops of Fullmoon Serum + 2 pumps of Skin Stuff + 1 pump of Phyto Clear.

I’m at that joyous age where I want to fight the first signs of aging and the odd blemish, because now it's about avoiding both acne and wrinkles!

Emma (Social Marketing Coordinator / Product Educator)

I have reactive, acne-prone skin and love a glowing look during the day! I mix:

2 drops of Fullmoon Serum + half a pump of Skin Stuff + half a pump of Face Glow + 1 spritz of Face Food.

Fatima (Customer Experience)

I have oily, acne-prone skin. I like to mix:

12 drops of Fullmoon Serum + 1 pump of Skin Stuff + 1 pump of Phyto Clear.

If my skin is feeling drier, I replace Phyto Clear with 1 or 2 drops of Moon Boost Serum.

Ivy (Lead Chemist + Product Development Manager)

I change my skin smoothie recipe based on the seasons. In the summer I do:

2 drops of Fullmoon Serum + 1 pump of Face Glow + 2 spritzes of Face Food.

In the winter, I mix:

1 drop of Moon Boost Serum + 2 pumps of Berry Rich.

Natalie (Digital Marketing Lead)

My skin type is very dependent on the season, but I love to play around with all the products! Lately, my staple Skin Smoothie is:

1 drop of Fullmoon Serum + 1 drop of Moon Boost Serum + 1 pump of Putty.

My favourite Skin Smoothie is actually the Triple Cleanse that’s featured on our website.

One pump of Aloe Milk Cleanser + one pump of Face Foam on a dampened Bamboo Charcoal Sponge.

As Graydon taught me, cleansing is the base of every good skincare routine! The Triple Cleanse skin smoothie leaves my skin feeling clean, soft and nourished!

Finding your perfect recipe(s)

As I’ve said again and again, everyone’s skin is different!

Some of my team members use the same products in their skin smoothies but in different ratios. You may have also noticed that some of them modify their usual skin smoothie if they feel like their skin needs a little extra.

To create your custom Graydon Skincare Skin Smoothie recipe, start by combining the products in your usual skincare routine. See how the combination feels on your skin and how it makes your skin feel. You may need to adjust the ratios of the ingredients. I encourage you to play around, mixing your Graydon products until you find your perfect Skin Smoothie recipe (or recipes)!

It’s important to remember that your skin is always changing based on weather, hormones, diet and stress (to name a few factors). What works one day might not work the next and that’s okay. Listen to your skin and modify your Skin Smoothie accordingly.

If you want to try adding a new product to your Skin Smoothie, we offer sample sachets for most of our products. This is a great way to try new products and conduct patch tests before committing to the full size.

Final words

Layering is so yesterday! It’s time to start mixing your favourite Graydon products to create Skin Smoothies.

By combining products before applying, you get the benefits of multiple products at once. Best of all, Skin Smoothies help the ingredients in each product work together. Certain actives, when mixed and applied together, help other actives to absorb easily and deeply into the skin. The better your skin absorbs the vitamins, nutrients and other goodies in Graydon Skincare products, the better they perform and the better your skin will look and feel.
